  • Trailer Hitch Ground Clearance to Fit 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix
  • We do offer a Class II hitches that will fit your 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, but the ground clearance on these hitches will be less than your current hitch. The chances of contact with your driveway would be higher. An option that you may consider would be to use a trunk mounted bike rack. If you are only using the hitch for carrying your bikes, then the trunk mounted hitch will remove the issue of contact with your driveway. A trunk mounted rack that I recommend that is a confirmed fit...

  • What are the Cut Outs for on the Back of Trailer Fender # PF11X35W-2
  • If you look at some of the other pictures of Fender # PF11X35W-2 you will see that it has somewhat of a cut out on either side at the back but they are for the included mounting brackets. The same goes for the Fulton fenders but they do not come with mounting brackets. Clearance lights can be surface mounted to the outside of the fenders. Rectangular lights measuring from 2-1/2 to 4 inches long seem to be the most popular for this application.

  • The Curt Class II 1-1/4 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C12225, would be a good option for your 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. This hitch has a tongue weight capacity of 350 pounds. Tongue weight capacity is the maximum amount of weight that can be safely suspended from a hitch and the use of a hitch adapter like # HTAD will reduce a vehicle's tongue weight capacity by 50 percent. The only hitches that are available for the 2001 Grand Prix GT are Class II which has the 1-1/4 inch receiver. You...

  • As long as the spoiler was factory installed and not an aftermarket option on your 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, then you may want to take a look at the Thule Gateway 2 Bike Rack, # TH88VR. I can tell you that Thule does not test fit their bike racks of vehicles with spoilers, but they designed this bike rack to fit over most OEM spoilers. If you were looking for a guaranteed fit, then the best option is to add a trailer hitch and use a hitch mounted bike rack. The advantages to using a hitch...

  • Ground Clearance on Curt C12225
  • We had the opportunity to test fit hitches on the Pontiac Grand Prix and found that the Curt Hitch # C12225 has just 7 1/2 inches of clearance from the bottom of the receiver to the ground. The Curt Hitch # C12225 has a nice powder coat finish that tends to hold up better than that used by other brands, so the hitch will better fight rust and scratches. For the installation, it will be helpful to have a nylon tube brush like # 814092 and some spray lubricant for cleaning out the weld...

  • How Far is Receiver From Ground on 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix?
  • Your concerns about scraping the ground are certainly understandable, so I'm happy to help you out. The Curt # C12225 is going to be approximately 7-1/2 inches from the bottom of the receiver tube to the ground on your 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. In regard to custom mounts, that's essentially what these hitches are, having been designed specifically for makes, models and years of certain vehicles. There would not be any type of custom hitch specifically made to make the receiver higher.

  • The difference between the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket # TSS-106-40 and # TSS-107-40 is the orientation of the axle to the leaf springs. So since you have an underslung kit the correct part number you need is the # TSS-106-40. The main difference is the height of the spacer that fits below the jounce (blue) spring. • That depends on the weight of your wave runner and trailer. The Curt Hitch part # C12225 that your referenced is a Class II hitch with 3,500 lbs towing and 350 tongue weight capacity. If your trailer falls under those figures, then yes, this hitch would work for you.
